Fire Pits

Introducing the Bonfire Weather Widget

A three-flame night: calm water, low wind, and a FYREBOL already lit.

If you’re the kind of person who loves ending the day around a firepit — backyard, beach, or camp — you already know the truth: not every night is a bonfire night. Some evenings are perfect. Some are meh. And some turn into a smoky, windy mess.

That’s why we built the Bonfire Weather Widget: a simple, visual, 3-day forecast that rates conditions for fire. And yes, it uses flames. Because of course it does.

How It Works: A Simple Flame Rating

The widget pulls real weather data and runs it through a formula built for bonfire conditions. Instead of a wall of numbers, you get an intuitive rating:

🔥  One FlameOkayWorkable. A little humid or breezy — still a decent night to burn.🔥🔥  Two FlamesGreatCool temps, low humidity, calm wind. A solid firepit session.🔥🔥🔥  Three FlamesExcellentCrisp air, steady flame, low smoke. Invite people over.

It’s the kind of quick-read forecast that makes you think, “Yep. Tonight’s the night.”

Moon Phase Integration

Weather affects the fire. The moon affects the vibe. Each day shows a moon icon and a short vibe line:

PhaseVibePhaseVibe
Full MoonBright & SocialCrescentCozy & Intimate
Half MoonBalanced & ChillNew MoonDark & Dramatic

A small detail that makes a big difference — especially if you love the outdoors, photography, or just a good aesthetic.

The Weather Behind the Flames

The widget isn’t guessing. These numbers are the sweet spot for clean-burning wood, minimal smoke, and comfortable outdoor seating:

Temperature:  55–72°FHumidity:  Under 70%
Wind speed:  Under 10 mphRain chance:  Under 20%
Cloud cover:  Clear or partly cloudyDew point:  Under 60°F

Ready When the Night Is

Check the widget before you stack the wood. When you see three flames and a good moon, you’ll know — tonight is the night.

Light it up.
